Im looking to see if someone can help me out, please. I recently installed an 858DI on the bow with AS GPS HS and a 998SI at the console with its original gps receiver. Both units linked via ethernet and have 6.610. My console unit is not working properly(not reading any gps unless on the network from the other model) which I am sedning back to humminbird after my tournament. I am able to still use it for now because I just pick up the gps receiver at the bow from the network.
The problem I am having is with boat position on the map. I messed with the heading offset but not sure of the correct procedure to set it up. One minute it shows me running up the river sideways and 5 minutes later it shows me running backwards. Does anyone have a tutorial or instructions on what exactly I am supposed to do? Also, keep in mind Im at the console working off of the bow reciever so will I have to change settings on both units? I imagine I would. I just dont know if the settings will be the same?
