788ci hd di
« on: March 27, 2011, 06:50:38 PM »
I just got to use my 788ci hd di for the first time and recorded a bunch of imaging data and would like to view it on my computer.  Both of my computers have card readers and I did have the card in the fishfinder when I was using it and it did display recording the whole time I used it.  I tried to put the card into the card reader to try to see what i got on the recording and my computer would not display what I had recorded.  Could someone explain to me what I really need to do to see the information?  Thanks

What program are you trying to open the recording with.  It takes a special viewing program(s) to see recordings.  Unless you just took pictures. Then almost any picture viewer will work...

I wasn't aware that you needed to run a special program to view the recording. Could you tell the program I need to view them?

You will need to use Humview or yellowfin (with a conversion file) or Deepviewe (with a conversion file)'....
Use the search tab at the top of the main menu and you will get more information on each of these programs.
HB records the data in a file called record. In that file is a R00XXX.dat and an associated record file.
In the associated file there are files called B00.IDX & B00.SON thru B003.IDX & B003.SON.
These are the HB files written by the recorder.
Humviewer reads these directly.  The others take a converter.
Use the search to help.
