Greg - Do you have any idea when this will be resolved. Navionics indicated that they have sent some info to Humminbird staff, and that they were unaware of the problem until I brought it to their attention several days ago. I find that very hard to believe. I know that this has to be a difficult problem or it would have been resolved by now. But any info would be helpful - Thanks Bill

I don't Bill. I assumed that these would be the same changes that were already made to the 898/998 units and so we were just waiting on the next software release to get this corrected (I may be wrong about that). Hopefully this will be soon but I have no for-sure date to pass on.

You can call or write the Humminbird Customer Resource Center folks but all they will be able to do is take the information – they will not be able to hurry the process along at all.

I am also having a number of issues with my 1197c SI and Navionics Platinum Plus card. Is there a listing of the issues with corrections in the works? Did the software update for the 898/998 correct the problems. Are the issues only with the Hot Maps Platinum Plus or do they also include Marine charts?

I don’t have a list of issues and corrections but I’m sure our Engineers are using something like this.
I’m not sure if the 898/998 software update addressed all of these problems or not.
I have only heard about problems with the 2010 Platinum Plus memory cards and not the Marine Chats. I’m guessing that they could also affect the Marine Charts as well.

Any news that you can share? I heard that it should be ready about any day now. Bill
