Navigation settings questions
« on: June 18, 2013, 11:24:01 AM »
I'm on the lake and here is what I need info on. I've got a 898 with a Lakemaster card with the depth and shallow water highlights set up. As I follow the green navigation line into the green depth highlighted area, it's hard to see the nab line through the depth highlighted area. I've looked but can't find any way to change the color of the nav green line. The only solution for me is to turn off the depth highlight until I'm near the waypoint and then turn the depth back on. Maybe it's just me having a hard time that both are green. So any suggestions? Is there a way to change settings and I just missed it setting up my unit.

If you can't change the color of the navigation line,
maybe change the colors of the depth area/lines.

Is this a Route that you are following or is it a Track?
You should be able to change the color that is use for either one.  Look under the Nav menu tab and set the defaults for the Current Track, Saved tracks or individual Tracks or Routes.

Greg, I don't think I've explained this correctly. I'll be fishing using a Lakemaster chip, set my shallow water depth to say 5 ft (displayed in red), set my depth highlighted area to say 10 ft to 20 ft (displayed in green) and after awhile I decide to go to a different waypoint. I'll pick a new waypoint, click go to, the green navigation line appears and I navigate to that waypoint. Now while I'm following the navigation line, if I travel through water that's between that 10-20 ft range, it's hard to see the navigation line. So the question is, since I'm certain that you cannot change the colors for either the shallow water depth or the depth highlighted area, is there a way to change the green navigation line to a different color? Thanks for any help.

Not for the GoTo navigation line.
You could if you set it up as a normal Route but not for a temporary one that the unit makes when you use the GoTo function.
