Looking to buy underwater camera, just looking for some feedback on which is best

Sir; I use 3 Aqua vue's for 7 year's with no truble. 300' MAX use so far. IR is great in poor vis. Roddy

When using a drop camera distance is every thing. Once you get below 30 feet it is hard to hold the camera steady and to put it where you want.
Of course visibility distance is a big factor.
Great viz great picture. Low vis hard to get the camera on a target.
Since Atlantis went out of business I would guess that AquaView is a good choice unless you want to spend big dollars..

how many dollars and what brand are you talking ?

Aqua-Vu has several models and the price is from $200 to $500. All good products...
Check their web site.
We use the AV360 and are well pleased. We also use the new DVR recorder for stills and video..

I use the Aquaview with a 24 ft painters poll. You can get under some docks really easy with it and the pole helps you judge direction. I had a crappie kiss the camera last week ;D.

Good idea to put the camera on a pole. We do that with our....infact we have 10 foot emt poles that we connect together to get to the depths of 80 or so. These cameras are very unstable underwater and hard to turn in a direction. which is also why we went with the Aqua-vu 360. It has four cameras spaced 90 degrees apart...
the pole gets a bit unweidly at depths but can be an advantage over not having any control.
