I hooked up my transducer to the Y cable now I cannot get them apart, is there a trick to it?
Thanks

Hello Rockdog and welcome to the forum!
The Y-cable connectors have two "noses" while the the transducer connector has two "gaps" where the noses fit in. I suggest you take a hair dryer and gently heat up the connector to give the plastic a bit more flexibility to let the noses slip out of the gaps.
Whatever you do: Do NOT pull on the cables, no matter how tempted you are to get a better grip.
Hope this helps!

I also have a problem with the Y connector... I can't get the connector to slide in... the connectors match up perfectly but just won't lock together...the Y connector that goes into the unit appears to lock in, but the transducer plugs just won't go into the female connector ends. I just bought some dielectric silicone and that might make it work..
My boat has a deep hull and hopefully by using two transducers I will get a cleaner picture.

Welcome to the Humminbird Side Imaging Forums Joel.
If the hair dryer or dielectric grease does not help, just contact the Humminbird Customer Resource Center folks about getting the y-cable replaced.

The silicone grease worked.,...still was a pain to get the plug into the socket but it worked and now there is not a shadow (hull) in the picture.
Thanks Again
