HB CS department...1st time

had a issue in reference the metal bracket on my transducer.  went to HB and signed in and a chat window popped up.  What can you but thx.  This took all of 5 minutes and my 4 day weekend can be spent fishing instead having my unit down.  (will only fish the spotsi know and GO slow though)  ;D


[Visitor] 898c HD SI transducer mount did not release the transducer this morning after striking an object. popped the whole mount off. Have reinstalled but should I stretch the metal bracket some or send it in?

[Willette] The bracket will need to be replaced.

[Willette] Is your unit still under warranty?

[Visitor] Yes just purchased 9-6-13. has been reg. and on file. What if the transducer is messed up after popping off?


[Willette] As long as there is no physical damage to the transducer or cable it should be fine.

[Visitor] I will test the tx in the morning and remove the bracket to send in. Do I need a # to place in the box with it or how does this work

[Willette] Sir, we can go ahead and send you the bracket--I just need your name, address, phone number and email address.

I have also talked with Willette in CS. Similar to Tom, I experienced outstanding service.
HB is truly blessed to have employees like this. HB Greg has set the bar pretty high, but he is not alone.
