I am planning on installing my 1197 on the jetboat with dual SI transducers connected with the Y cable to give effective left and right.  I plan to run from the Y cable into a TS3 switch so that I can utilize my Alumaducer thru hull for high speed 2d.  I figured this way I could use the HB 2-d off the SI transducer at slow speed and switch to the Alumaducer through hull for high speed depth.  Was using the Alumaducer with my previous X-15 Lowrance and it worked well.  Have heard that it should work with the HB given that I have the proper adapater cable- which I do have now.   Any issues with this proposed setup.  Have read some previous posts on the hazards of switches.  Just want to make sure I have it all connected in a good configuration.

I would make sure and change the Transducer Select menu setting before changing from the Si transducers to the AlumaDucer (and change it back after switching back to the Si transducers).

Finally got it all installed.  Works as advertised.  I love this new side scan sonar.  A bit of cash wrapped up with the switch and extra transducers, but wow is all I can say.  Feels like cheating fishing with this setup.  The dual setup works great.  Glad that I went that way.
