I have----1. Side Image 2. Sonar 3. Snapshot and Recording ( for quick access to start/stop record). Just curious.

1: Side, 2: Sonar, 3: Switch back and forth from Down image and Maps depending on what lake I'm on and what I'm looking for.

I just learned something. I can free up the number 2 PRESET key this way. Because of the way the view rotation is on the unit, I can hit the 1st PRESET for SI, then hit the VIEW button
once and I'm at Sonar. TaDa !

I like to have one view with the lake map so I can preview what is coming up ahead of me (contours). I use a split view with a small 2d section. Bob

Good point. I'll try a lake map/sonar in #2 now that it's free.

#1 I have SI/DI/2D
#2 I have DI/2D
#3 I have 2D/Map
If you turn off the screens you absolutely don't use and get familiar with the remaining screens its pretty easy to move from a preset to an isolated screen within 1-2 clicks then directly back to the preset screen. This also forces you to learn the machine, something I did not do the first year I had my 999.

Yep that's what I also do, is know what screen is in the rotation after a couple pushes of the button.

SI
SI/Chart
Chart
It is much easier to preset 3 to Chart for zooming ... (Instead of trying to figure out which side that green arrow is pointing so I can change the active side where I can zoom on the map in a split view) ...
