side imaging on 898c si

will side imaging work on through hull transducer on fiberglass bassboat

No.
The Side Imaging beams radiate out of the sides of the transducer and not out of the bottom of the transducer like most sonar does.  Installing an SI transducer inside the hull of a boat would not allow the Si sonar to be coupled to the boat’s hull and is effect attempting to transmit and receive through air.
