4.700 update for the 997cSi?
« on: October 27, 2009, 07:31:29 PM »
Just curious if there's an update coming? I see it for the 700 series and the 1100 series, but haven't seen anything for the 900 series. The faster GPS update rate would be great. Thanks.

Early reports from those who have used this software on the water (in other models of course) are very positive.  I think that you will be well pleased with it but like Denny posted it won’t be available until after the first of the year.

Greg

You are absolutely right, 4.700 update has improved my 1197 overall.

The color using amber2 gives a clearer picture.  The GPS readings are updated at a much faster response rate and the accuracy of my AS GRHA GPS Receiver has improved the charting from appx. 7 ft to 3 ft. consistently.

I have had my boat out at least 10 times since making the update.  Since I would rather fish then play with my unit, there are probably other improvements that I have not played with yet.  Can't wait for the next update.

George
