Record and 360

(1/1)

N9Phil:
I know that I can't record when using the 360 but I can't find the menu to record when I have the 360 connected.    I have not installed the 360 version 2.0 software.   Does anyone know what the 360 version 2.0 upgrade provides?

N9Phil:
I finally got the 360 upgraded.  I posted on another post what I had to do to get it to work.  I did not get to use the 360 though because I had a bad battery and while I started recording, my 1198 shut down when the battery voltage dropped to low.  I didn't realize that I needed to start the record over after rebooting so I only had a very short recording on Saturday.  I did shut off the 360 and was able to use the 1198 all day on the battery with 9.8 volts.  It went down to 9.7 volts by the end of the day.  It just couldn't take the load of the 360.  I will get the battery problem straightened out for next time I go out.

The 360 will not record, you can only do snapshots with 360 and record 2d sonar.  I have recorded  with the 360 on with 2d and side and down imaging coming off the side imaging transducer. But with the side imaging transducer on it gives a little blur to your 360 view.  This method gave me all playbacks on my sd card except no 360 recording. The 360 software update does not make it where we can record 360 images.

Anything new on recording the 360 channel/channels? Such an option would be very nice if it would mean recording of all sonar data. Replay/display with a computer could show images with much better resolution than what's possible with the unit itself. Of course, the computer would need special software for this.

Rickard:
I found some answers on another forum. The unit can record when using the 360! At least Humviewer can show the recording, but not as a circular "radar image". But this is good enought for me, my old manual ice-scanning method also needed alot of after processing with a computer. What other programs can show a recording of a 360? I hope SiView can, because that program uses all sonar data.
