I have not seen a specific list for the 997 and 1197 5.310 update, but assume it is very similar to the 5.210 update for the other units.

12/6/2010 12:00:00 AM - v5.210 This release has changes that affect the following areas: DownImaging, SI Terrain mode, SI Navigation, Custom Chart Menu, Downrigger Menus

Biggest part of this seemed to be the SI Terrain or Contour mode that removes the water column in SI view.

Thanks Robert
I'm mostly interested in what changes were made to the downgigger view/menu. also wonder if any updates are being made to Cannonlink. I have had some past issues, and was told by cannon tech support that there may be some updates coming.

I would also like to know the DR software changes. Better speed control and redeploy options?

Hi Grump
are you aware you can change the deploy, retract speed in the downrigger setup. speed setting can be 1,2,or 3 for each,up or down.

yes, iI have used the speed control. I Iwould like to beable to slow decent down more. a speed rate menu. you have to be very familiar with donrigger decent speed to set. if you have inexperience crew running riggers bad stuff happens quick. Also slow speed delay when operating manual up and down. Trying to change depth in small incriments is a yo-yo effect. I spent alot of time fishing 35' to 50' walleye fishing. i did come up with a comfortable system. I wish there were more options with downrigger menus.

Grump,
Try making those suggestions to Cannon.
