Title: Determining distance.
Post by: YankeeDoodler on May 17, 2010, 07:51:49 PM
Prolly been discussed before, but I can't seem to find the answer in the manual.  What is the best method for determining the distance of a given object seen on SI?  I have seen things off to the left or right but have had trouble determining how far they are.  How do you "zone" in on something once you've seen it?  Hope this babbling makes some sense.  Thanks.

Don,

The easiest way would be to use the 4-way cursor and move it over to the object.  It will tell you how far off the center line the object is and also current direction and distance from the boat.

Thanks Robert.  Sounds easy enough.  I'll test it out next time.
