Looking for Feedback
« on: July 15, 2014, 08:41:44 PM »
Looking for some feedback and recommended changes to by current setup.  I have a bubble issue on the right side to what I think is my boat or Down Image transducer.  Motor is tilted up.

Those are some very cool shots....

The only recommendation I would give is to (maybe) shorten the SI Range a smidge to get the interesting stuff (boats) to show bigger in the images....

Is it possible for you to post those same first 4 images from the HB screenshot feature...??
(You can take a screenshot as the recording is playing back on the unit)...

Some information (or pictures) of your transducer installation would be helpful as well.
Is this only happening when the boat is moving or do you have the sonar bubbles when the boat is drifting?

The bubbles are only when moving.  Overall i'm thinking the settings are good and I don't have any blockages.  I am just waiting on a good time to pull the DI transducer out of the mix to see if it the cause.  The yellow safety line has been removed and is not cause of the bubble problem.  I have not taken updated photos but that is the current setup.

With the bubbles being only on the right side and it only happens when the boat is moving; it could be the DI transducer.  Only way is to pull the DI transducer and see if it still does it or not.  The Si beams from the HDSi transducer actually project upwards so, so it may be getting a reflection from air bubbles off of the DI transducer.

I think its the other transducer as well.  I have the same issue from a trim tab.  It doesn't bother me enough to worry about as long as I know why.  Nice images!
