Title: Anyone can help with Maxsea .son files handling??
Post by: tictocman on March 29, 2012, 01:06:01 PM
Hello,
I hope someone has worked with Maxsea software using bathimetry. It is amazing what this piece of soft. is capable of and how it can help with fishing.
Basically you need to connect the pc to the sounder and it records depth given and translates to the map you see in the pc giving you a 3D vision with a max.error of 4,5 x 4,5x 4,5 feets.!!

I hop someone knows if the Humminbird can record this data so later, at home you can "somehow" import it to the pc.
You can say "why don't you simply connect it to the sounder when aboard?", the answer is we are a group of 5 boats, always go out together in the same zone, so, as we have the same Hummi. sounder, we can record each one our route and later we can join all in the map, creating a great surface mapped with an almost perfect bathimetry.

So, can someone give me a clue on how i can do it?.

Thanks.
Juan Angel.
