I updated my Helix 12si software to this latest version 1.640 and noted one of the changes was this Sun & Moon information. Where does this appear and on which screen(s)?

I don't have a Helix but the solix has a tool bar on the main screen and you can access the info from that menu. Other than that I would probably recommend going through every screen until you find it. Good Luck and when you do locate the location please post it on the site for others that run into the same situation.

I found the Sun & Moon update. On the Helix you must turn the display to BOXES. Then go to a box and cycle through the options for ..Temp...Volts...Speed etc. The Sun info will appear as one of the options. Still not sure what it does other than give you the actual Sunrise and Sunset times. I was under the impression that there was Moon phase information as well.

Would be awesome if they tied this to tidal/major/minor info based on gps location. I have a Casio fishin' time watch that provides alarms for the daily major/minor and it would be great to have that functionality on the graph.

I would also think that you would have to have a good gps signal to get the moon cycles. The Solix screen has both the sun info and then it shows the dates of four moon phases. As I remember my 1198 had to have I believe a menu set to advanced or something like that to get all of the menu screens to show up. I can't check that as the 1198 was given to my Grandson.
