Title: Black screen in SI and DI

I have a new Helix 7 SI/GPS. Today is the 4th time I have had it out on the water. I can not get anything but a black screen with SI and DI. I have tried using all the frequency choices and have no luck. My sonar view is questionable but I have at least gotten it to function. Does anyone have any suggestions for any thing I might be doing wrong? My transducer mount is good from the info I have looked at online so I don't think that is the problem.

Make sure the transducer selection hasn't accidentally been changed......or the SI sensitivity isn't turned way down ....   Resetting defaults would do that for you.

If that doesn't correct it give Humminbird a call.

Thanks for the reply Bob. I talked with customer service yesterday. Surprisingly no hassle. That almost shocked me. They emailed me a FedEx label and it got boxed up and sent back today. That's very good customer service in my mind.  :)

Their turn around time is pretty quick ....They'll get you fixed up.

Got my unit back from Humminbird. They replaced the transponder so something must have been wrong with it. I got everything reinstalled and ready to go. The problem now is that the PA Fish Commission is draining my favorite local lake so I'll have to plan a road trip. Those can be more fun anyhow so I'm not complaining. I'll get it tested and update my post here. My thanks again to Humminbird for their quick response and great customer support.
