Custom base layer in the unit (HELIX 7 SI GPS)
« on: August 15, 2017, 07:34:24 AM »
Hello
I got my self a HELIX 7 SI GPS and ive started using autochart to map my local fjords.
(Its quite a huge job, but neat to see the entire fjord)

There are several "no fishing" zones as well as reefs that are of interest to me. Many of the reefs you can see on google maps, and ive made a KML file in google maps that holds all the no fishing zones and so on.

I can load this file just fine into AutoChart on my computer, but it would be really neat if I could load the same map/kml/picture into my unit so I have the info when I actually need it - IE, on the water.

Is this possible, or do I need to use different map software to be able to do this?
