What software version are you running in your 797 unit?
Is it connected to another unit through an InterLink?
Does it do this if you remove any mapping and memory cards from the unit?
How is the unit connected to power?

I will have to look at software not sure. It is connected to another unit through interlink. Not sure on how it is wired would have to look. It only does it when scrolling screens. Has never done this when removing map card as far as I know but then again I never take out the map card. I am running a DieHard PM1 (I think) battery. It should not be the problem as it did when battery was new. also did it on old battery I had on it. It does not do this when cranking the big motor Merc 150 Opti. Only does it when scrolling screens.

You said that the unit has done this when the present battery was new and also on the older battery.  How long has it been doing this?

Check the software version.
Try it without the map card (and any memory card) installed in the unit.
Also try it without the InterLink connected.

The next step would be to Export all of the Nav Data from the unit (with the unit still disconnected from the InterLink) and then do a Delete All Data from the unit to make sure it is not any sort of corrupted Nav Data that is causing the problem.  The Nav Data can be re-loaded after this test if it was not causing the problem.

OK seems the new software solved the shut down problem but not it will not talk to my 727 upfront through the interlink it says it need to be updated but it has the latest software in the727 which is 4.96.

You can try to reset the InterLink using the procedure found here:

but I think that you will have to end up either taking the chance and loading an older version of software into the 797 for it to work with the 727 unit.

I doubt it.  The last software update for the 727 came out way back in July of 2010.
