Can a 998c SI be upgraded to a 360 technology?
If so, where can I order the needed items?

The 998c si can be you will have to have the 6.600 update which you can get if you have registered your unit, go to humminbird site log in to your account and you will see you unit listeded click on it and it will have the update. The only thing else you will need is the 360 unit for $2000.00.

Thanks for the photo, but I don't see a transducer. Are you saying that to up date a 998c SI I need to buy a 360 transducer that alone costs $2k?

Ya that is a good looking motor I have a 225 etec on my boat love it! Ok the humminbird unit you seek on his boat that looks like a power pole is the 360 unit it has a transducer at the bottom that deploys down to get a clear view so it can can read the bottom 360 degrees. You can update without the unit but it will do you no good cause it won't work without the 360 imaging unit.

Now I understand. I was looking for the transducer and ignored what I thought was a power pole.
So you are saying that the transducer is $2k. That I can understand, at least a little bit.

The whole 360 Imaging accessory is $2K.  This includes the deployment system and the sonar pod.
