Tried several times to register and error codes galore. This is my first time trying to register, and it appears to be their brand new site. My last try was from a fully updated PC computer, no luck. Hope they get this straightened out soon.

If you can't register online, then call the customer service folks at
1-800-633-1468
They will register you.
-
thank you will do

castle,
Did you call the Humminbird Customer Resource folks and get registered or have you tried it today? They may still be having problems with the My Account part of the web site. I have not tried this part of the new web site yet as I don’t have another unit serial number to register.
-
Was told that the registration part is fixed now.

The new site has changed from My Account to My Humminbird for logging in to your account.

registered and logged in my units today everything is A OK. Thanks, Dave R.

So... what do you think about the new Humminbird site?
-
Layout looks great...
Compatibility lists for most of the older Legacy units have been left off...
This makes it very difficult to track down correct info for helping users that come to the forums looking for help with their older equipment and what accessories work with what products...

I liked the old one better. More info, easier to navigate, more responsive to my Android tablet. It's probably more designed for PC. Site needs more complete info and application for accessories. I would love to see a selection of cabling diagrams pointing out the cables identifications and switches and network hubs.

Greg,
I played around with the New Humminbird Web site today.
I must say that the older one was much simpler, and better.
The new one is harder to navigate and find stuff.
It's also very slow.
I was looking for a search box, and nothing said 'Search' but I did
eventually get a drop down search box.
I was looking for info on legacy units and I could not find anything.
The Web site does not encourage me to EVER come back and
use it again. My advise would be to put the old site back up.
I have designed web-based applications myself.
User's do not want anything complicated, and they
hate waiting around for huge graphical pages to load.
I have found that fast and simple is the best policy.
Just my 2 cents.

I like the old better than the new. Sometimes "new and improved"....... isn't.
Please keep those people away from the software department. Thanks.

At least see about getting the Legacy compatibility info back on the website...
It's darn near impossible to help users on the forums now without that info to link to ...

I heard this morning that the web site works best with Google Chrome. I’m not running that on anything. Anyone else running GC and viewed the new web site?
-
I primarily use Firefox, and the website doesn't seem nearly as slow now as when they first launched it.
I just think it is too big on splash and not big enough on info.
-
for me it seems a shame that they are just trying to promote their newest products, and not respecting their numerous previous products that are supposed to interact with their current lineup.thank God for this site or we would have no information base.s

FAQ's are HOSED, somebody should put some time & effort into that or put re-directors in place to old info.... Jus' Sayin' .....
:D
-
The older site was better, the new one sucks!
-
Funny thing is...I follow about 18 different forums and I haven't heard a good word about the new HB website yet...
Ahhh progress...

Just went to the site for the first time sense the change over. I run Google Chrome and tab layout was ok, just took time to get used to new way they had it. It's different for sure and will take some getting used to but like many, not happy about them taking away the older units info for compatibility. Some of the pages took some time to download and I'm running a system that this should not be a issue with.

Don't blame HB just yet. I just purchased a new Minnkota TM, a JOI company, and was lucky enough to work with a dealer that had already
found out that the picture on the website is wrong. Drop $800. on a motor and order parts from Transducer S&S, open the box and "product not as shown".
A shout out to Transducer S&S as they ALSO caught the error and called me. Apparently I wouldn't have been the first victim.
