Title: Bad transducer?
Post by: hollada on August 19, 2018, 10:12:52 AM

This is a shot of my TM transducer being shared to the console. Other than the black line, the image is the same at the bow. Always squiggly on the left side irrespective of wave conditions. Turning the power to the TM off has no impact. I’ve looked at the line and the ducer and no external signs of damage. I’ve never hit anything as I don’t fish shallow.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this besides a bad transducer? I think the black line is related to a problem I’m having with the 5 port switch that I’m engaged with HB on. The image off the transom ducer is perfect - even at low TM speeds.

Can you connect the other head unit directly to this suspect xducer and test with no Ethernet connections at all  ...??

This should verify if the xducer is bad  ...

I swapped my units around and had the same squigglys.

If you have already tried swapping head units and Restore Defaults  ...Then the xducer is suspect  ...
