Title: Helix 10 DI/SI Mega Chirp output to NMEA 0183
Post by: einsteins on April 30, 2018, 06:31:42 PM
Hi all

I need to have a speed input for my Merc Monitor from my Helix 10 DI/SI Mega Chirp.

I had this from my old 1198c and after wiring it to the Helix I am not getting the speed on my merc Monitor. The lead that comes from the Y cable has a red, Green wires and an unshielded wire.  I know you dont use the Red wire... but need to know if the connection for Helix is the same as the old 1198.
I can find any documentation on connecting Helix NMEA 0183 to a Merc Monitor. I do have NMEA 0183 output turned on in the Helix settings.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide

I am having an issue as well with nmea.  I had my 997 connected to my radio which sends the GPS coordinates to my radio. When I got my Helix 10 I reconnected the same way to my Helix and enabled NMEA output but the radio is not receiving the coordinates
