1198 interface furuno 1622
« on: January 29, 2013, 01:50:57 PM »
Asked hb if I could link my 1198 to 1622. 1622 supports nema 0183. Hb says  yes but I need ashhgps cable, furuno says i need 000-117-603 cable. Researching theses posts i see other hb cables to link. I'm a little confused.
Thanks

The AS-HHGPS is our standard NMEA Output cable.
Depending on what NMEA sentences the Furuno needs you could possibly make the connection to the GPS Receiver pigtail wire (this is the second, shorter wire that comes out of the GPS Receiver connector and ends in a black plastic cap).

What other Humminbird cables are you looking at?

Thanks Greg, I'm using the pigtail wire with cap to connect to vhf dsc. Furuno says I need to use only 2 wires to connect gps.
