Humminbird repairs
« on: July 01, 2013, 01:57:45 PM »
I'd like to get this out so everyone can see what type of company Humminbird is. I was having problems w/898 and I contacted Humminbird. The customer service rep was very good but we couldn't resolve the 2D sonar problems I was having over the phone. So she requested I send the unit & transducer in to their repair center. She also said the turn around time for me getting my unit back was 5 days...she was off just a bit. I sent my unit to Humminbird, they recieved it on Weds June 19th and I had it back on Friday June 21st. They had made a repair to the unit and the transducer was not functioning in 2D so that was replaced. This is why you buy Humminbird...their customer service is second to none. Just thought I'd put this out for anyone comparing units & manufacturers when looking to buy. Thanks Humminbird!

I have had similar great service.
It's A++.

I think the people that don't have great service
are the ones that think they've been screwed from
the beginning.
They think there is a huge conspiracy by all Humminbird
employees to take their money.
They get started off in a negative, combative mode, and cause
the Humminbird Customer Service people to start out on
the defensive.

Who in the world would want to deal with a nasty bastard
that is blaming you personally for their equipment problems?

Good for you.
My 898 was about 5 months in repair, so no reason for praise.
