998 models w/ SI move info to bottom?
« on: August 24, 2010, 06:26:22 PM »
Is this possible?  Can we get this in a download?  Would love to have it down there.  That is the least used part of the screen.   You have to really watch your unit or you can miss something and it is hard to see though the white backing.  My 797 si  has on bottom and really like it there.   ;D

Eric, I think the data is a fixed location by unit type and not moveable....

Eric3338,
This has been requested by others.  I don’t know if the powers-that-be are considering this or not but if they do it would just be part of another software update file.

Having the data on the bottom would be great. The after the first day I used my 898... I was trying to find a way to move the readouts to the bottom. I was real surprised they would not move to the bottom. I sure hope they plan to put that in future updates. I would wait in line for that update!!!!!! That would be awesome... Just a nice upgrade to an already great unit.

Maybe an online poll would help to influence that decision?  In a split screen view, the numerical displays take up valuable real estate.
