Title: Hdsi trancduser with lowrance elite 5
Post by: pimpelkungen on April 28, 2014, 03:04:35 AM
Is there some way you can interface The hdsi ducer with an elite 5, only the 200khz signal?

I’m sure it could be done but you would have to cut the connector end off of the HDSi transducer and solder on a Lowrance connector.  You would need the pin out for each transducer.

My plan is to use the 899 only as a SI and the lowrance unit as a 2d on the same tranceduser, maybe i can split the signal with one of the Y-cables ?

None of our transducer splitter cables work that way (splitting the signals from one transducer to two units, they actually combine the sonar signals from two transducers to one unit).  Doing this would cause all of the automatically setting within the 899 unit that rely on the 2D water depth to not work and slow down the Si sonar.
