Items required for linking 998 to motor?
« on: August 26, 2012, 11:19:25 AM »
I have a merc motor that is already connected to a Navman fishfinder that displays the motor data through the "smartcraft" Is there anything special that I will need? And how do I go about connecting it to my 998? Or is it posssible to just use the wires that are connected to the other finder?

If you already have a NMEA 2000 backbone on your boat, then all you will need for your 998 unit is the AS-ETH-NMEA2K accessory.
