997c SI - Default/Manfacturer Setting Question
« on: September 23, 2010, 07:12:33 AM »
I purchased a used 2008 boat in Jan 2010.  It came with a 997c SI.  I have read and re-read the
manual.  Made a lot of adjustments, but still having issues with getting good clear readings.

Question?  If I reset back to manfacturer setting, will I loose my waypoints already saved?
Thanks.

No you will not lose any waypoints, tracks or routes if you reset the unit to the factory defaults.  All this should do is reset the menu settings and nothing else.  However, I strongly suggest that you always back up your Nav Data (waypoints, tracks and routes) on a regular basis, whether you are resetting the menus or not having any issues at all.
