My 898 has a bad habit and it will do this for nav. and lakemaster charts, even if I increase the speed just a bit.

It may have something to do with "Vessel offset" in the chart tab. If you have it turned on. Bob

Turn off "Auto Zoom" under the Chart tab ...

Thanks from me too. This started happening since my last firmware update, I hoped it was because of the factory reset.

The default for the "Auto Zoom" setting is "Off" ...

I'm not sure why yours would have been set to "On" during a factory reset ...
