Title: Anti Fouling Paint for transducer

Hey Guys,
I am just getting my 997 installed with the transom mount transducer. I keep my boat in salt water and want to keep barnacles off. I know that there are special treatments for standard transducers and wonder if anyone has ever tried them with the side scan ducers.

Don’t know brands but do know that you need to steer away from any that have a metallic content as well as those that are not plastic safe.  When applying it, do not get air bubbles mixed in the paint or it will deafen the transducer.

fran35, did you find a paint for your transducer you are happy with?  I have to paint as well
