Humminbird MUST HAVE Modified its 180 HD side scan transducer mount , BECAUSE I HAVE TWO OF THEM AND ONE HAS A PIECE OF PLASTIC IN THE MOUNT THAT PREVENTS IT FROM "WIGGLING" IN THE METAL MOUNT.....THE new one I got with my new 1199SI in March fits tight in the mount while the one I bought last year for my 899SI has no plastic extension that prevents it from being loose in the metal mount. What is up with that stuff? Looks like I'm going custom make me a machined piece of plastic shim material to do what Humminbird is doing now with their new mount. I tried to get a picture but it is tough looking through that narrow slit in my portable clamp-on bracket. When I mount both of them ( port and starboard) on my boat I will get a pic so you see what I'm talking about. Looks to me Humminbird wasn't happy with that "slop" on the old Mount so they shimmed it up with the plastic spacer molded into the mount.
