I have a brand new 998c si combo. Shouldn't it have the preloaded contour xd GPS maps? If so how do I get them to come on? When on land it shows streets and names and other stuff. When on the water all it shows is the lake. No contour maps no depth lines nothing just a lake. Any body have any ideas? Thanks

Yes your 998c Si should have the ContourXD maps in it already. There is nothing special you have to do to get them to display. Which lake are you on and is it covered by the ContourXD maps? Not all of the lakes on the ContourXD maps have depth contour lines.

Grand lake in Oklahoma. It's perhaps the best lake in ok. I can't imagine it not being on here

Grand Lake is not listed under the lakes listed for Oklahoma. Here is the CountourXD lake list:

Thanks Greg. But that has got to be the dumbest list of lakes I've ever seen. Table Rock from Missouri isn't even on there. Idiots. That's fine though I was goin to order some lakemaster maps anyways.

How do you think the Canadian consumers feel? Not even including any lakes up in Canada in the Contour XD map upgrades.
The Unimap is pretty sad up here too, the lake I live on is 20 x 4 miles approximately with several other larger chained lakes and it doesn't even have shorelines!
Even worse is that it is along the TransCanada Highway, not up somewhere in the boonies.

Pretty pathetic but if it was badass no one would buy the other GPS contour maps available.

I purchased the Navionics Hotmaps for my 997. It includes the shoreline of the lake I have my cabin on and contours that are completely out to lunch.
Worst is my 997 has only recognized the chip once. So pretty much a waste of money.
