Snap shot and recording question
« on: January 23, 2012, 10:09:19 PM »
Im having trouble trying to get my 798 and 998 to record, when I go through all of the view pages and get to snapshot, select it and right click record and a message saying error creating file recording stopped. I have tried a 4G PNY and a SanDisk and they both were formatted for Fat 32. Can anyone help me with this?

Put a new sand disk card in. Turn unit on hit menu menu arrow all the way over on top of screen
turn on snapshots.Go to view screen Snap shot an recording hit recording. To turn recording off from any screen just
hit menu once and the stop recording option will be there. I like to have the recording screen on my 3 preset key
so if i am on the water an need to capture something quick just hit preset 3 an start recording. If you still are not able
to record call HB customer support

HookonFishN

When you get your new card us it as it is, do not reformat and erase the files from the card as needed.

Some of the problems noted with recording is the wrong format.  I believe there are some comments on this site on how to format the cards properly, your cards are probably good with the correct formatting (do not know for sure).
