899ci HD Si - power issue and solution

Turning unit on, the h'bird logo shows for 1 second then the unit shuts off.   I can use spare power cord on separate battery and unit powers up fine and runs simulator mode. I'm thinking either low voltage or bad power/ground connection. Any other things to check? Everything worked fine 3 weeks ago.

Easiest test is to have the battery load tested (free at most auto parts stores)  ...

Then delve into wiring if the battery checks good  ...

battery checked out good - found a splice corroded so bad it fell apart when I unwrapped the tape.

Thank you for sharing the solution to your problem.   Sometimes, after Rickie suggest trouble shooting ideas, we don't hear back on the out come.   Although, if I were to bet, I'd borrow money to bet he is correct.
