I have a new Helix 9. I also have the Lakemaster Mid-South card. My problem is I can't see waypoints on the map. At first it showed 3-4 that I put on it. Then it would show no new ones. When I mark a waypoint now it say's successfully saved. But it won't be marked on map. I have tried restore to default and still does this. Where are the waypoints going when it says stored successfully? I'm stumped.

The normal cause of this is if you have snapshots turned on. The waypoints are saved to the units internal memory, but if snapshots are turned on, it is trying to save the picture to the SD card and the process fails.

Ah ha!!!!!! makes sense. Will try that. Another question? When trying to record it does nothing. I formatted sd card and still nothing. Also how do you take snapshots? Sorry for all the questions.

Is there a "write protect" switch on the SD Card that may be locked ... ??
Also some brands SD Cards just don't jive with the HB units ... HB recommends the SanDisk brand in 32gb or less ...
Screenshots should be under the Accessories tab in the Main Menu System to the far right ...(if it's not there, look at the bottom of the Setup tab) ...
Press the "Mark" button on the unit face to save a waypoint (to internal memory) and save a Screenshot (to an installed SD Card) ...
As Bob mentions - if Screenshots is enabled and there is no SD Card in the unit = there will be no waypoint created (to internal memory) ...
