I want to thank Keith Counsel with Humminbird for our first submission to the Articles and Presentations section.  I hope we will have some more member submitted articles on other topics as well.

This is a Power Point Presentation and you may need to Download and Install the PowerPoint Presentation Viewer.

Humminbird Navigation Options Training - Download

The GPS Navigation Options Training is a presentation that discusses GPS Navigation, Navionics Chart features, and other Navigation Menu Options.

Please feel free to post any questions you may have on the subject under this post.

Thanks,

Please let me know if there are any issues with the Power Point Viewer 2003.  The downlaod above was much smaller and I thought would be easier and quicker to get installed.  Here is the link to the new PPT Viewer 2007 from Microsoft.  It is quite large at 26MB, but may solve any issues you may be having with the older version above.

Power Point Viewer 2007 Download

Thanks,

Robert

The link to the PowerPoint training file is not working, so can you make sure it is working?

Overall this is an excellent overview, I would like to see more of them.

The question I have is on slide 56, shouldn't the pictures of the GR16 and GRHA be the same size pics to give us the proper perspective for viewing?  The GR16 is clearly zoomed in compared to the GRHA, also it would be nice to see the GR50 which is the current GPS Receiver.

Also, I did change the Power Point Slide Show to a pdf, this does make it easier to view and to zoom in on specific areas.

Great job Keith

Great piece of information, it helped me a lot with getting a better understanding of the navigation options and how to use them.

Also, being a computer geek, you can also download OpenOffice (for FREE!) and it runsviews all Microsoft-created files and presentations - link below for those interested:
