information on search and rescue
« on: July 04, 2010, 02:18:27 PM »
The fire department here just purchased a 1197CI SAR.   They are going to mount it on a alu. john boat.  Any tips on how to mount it or how to set it up.  Is there any S.O.P for using a sonar for body recovery.  What is Humview or Yellowfin.  I did read the post by pmbush.

Reddog, can you share the body of the PM with the rest of the SAR world?

Chuck,

In the pm, I offered to go down to Lakeview to help them get set up, because it is less than an hour from my home.

Im sure they would appreciate any other information anyone can offer.

I thought I would bump this to the top, since it was lakeviewfires first post and I havent recieved a response from my personal message.  Maybe he has it set up to get an email update when there is a reply.
