898c sonar stopped
« on: June 07, 2016, 04:25:51 PM »

Hoping you can help me.  My 898c has been working fine and we are in mn fishing all week.  I haven't done anything at all to the unit since startingredients to fish this week.  Yesterday it worked fine but today their is no sonar reading.  No depth or anything.   The GPS and maps work fine.  Any thoughts on what could be wrong?
Thanks
Jason

The first place I would look would be where the sonar cable connects to the back of the unit. Make sure it isn't loose. Next check the transducer and make sure it isn't kicked up. No luck yet,
trace the cable from the transducer to the unit looking for a cut. Last option is unplugging the cable from the back of the unit and examining the pins to make sure they aren't bent. Reconnect
cable and try again.
