Title: 360 not working???

ok I have a transom mounted 360 and it worked great once or twice but since then it won't work.
The problem is it shows up and on my units and makes the sweep but everything inside the circle is black.
I called humminbird and was told to update the software but I still have the same problem.
I have a 1199, 998, iPilot and 360 all interlinked.
Tonight I downloaded the 360 software on the 998 card and ran the 360 only to the 998 with no luck. I also swapped the cable from the 360 to the 998 and still no luck.

The accessory test shows the 360 is connected and the software is up to date.


Any thoughts before I send the 360 in?

Do you have the range set lower than the depth of water you are in?  Example; Range set to 40ft and in 60ft of water?

I take it you've reset to defaults with the update, which should now be a range of 120ft.   Sensitivity and contrast settings both at 10 (middle).

If your range is less than your water depth you'll have more or all black showing and not much for 360 side view.  This also applies to side scan.

Have you tried turning on/off contour mode in the 360 enhanced section? 
While on 360 screen press >Menu>360 Enhanced>Contour> on/off

I've tried that with no luck, spent some time on the phone with Bird this morning, looks like it's time to send it in along with $300  :-[
