Is there any downside to using a side imaging tranducer in place of the origional transducer? It appears to have fixed my trolling motor interference problems. Will I still have all functions?

The DI model units use a transducer that is very different from any of the other transducers we have made.  I do not know how an Si transducer would work with one of the DI model units but I would not try it.  The Si transducers do not have the single downwards pointing DI element inside of them and their 2D sonar element is different and was not designed for the 455kHz 2D sonar.
