Title: what should 898 firmware bin name be for 6.1?

i went to humminbird support march 2 to get firmware and it said 898ci and now (March 11) the firmware says 1197 under my 898 firmware listing. The one I downloaded March 2 is 407b11ffc5734ce19e1bebae3b7bd097 and I am a little scared  putting it on my 898 until I know it is correct. Can someone let me know if the bin file I downloaded March 2 is correct.

Mike, I dont have the 898 yet.  the 1197 is not that number.  Dont know why it says 1197 on your install.
This is the 1197 name.  278dc4f848c449ce99ef64ca21f6b3c9.bin

I think Hb screwed up somewhat on the releases of 6.180 and the long name version.  Maybe it made it hard for them to know which was what also.

Let me know if you get the 898 while I am trying to get it also.
If you do shoot me a copy on my email and I will get it on the
downloads here.
Also what is the file size for your one you have..

the file size is 26.3mb for the one i downloaded 3-2-12

Hi Mike1957,
This is the file name I downloaded from HB web site 407b11ffc5734ce19e1bebae3b7bd097 and all went well downloading to my 898 cx SI unit and is opreating as it should. The update did say 898 on the HB web site at the time of download. My file size is slightly larger, 27.6mb but was downloaded to my Mac and it could have used a slightly different format for the download but that I'm not sure about.
