Title: Will the 718 network with an 898?

Hey guys just wondering if I can link up this unit with my 898? Also can I just use ethernet or does it have to be interlink? Thanks. http://store.humminbird.com/products/271323/718 (http://store.humminbird.com/products/271323/718)

Your only chance of linking them would be with an InterLink module.  The 718 unit is not Ethernet capable.

Ok thanks. I just realized that humminbird dropped the 700 series for the non-network capable 600 series.
