Is there any other way to get to the "snapshot and recording view" other than scrolling thru
the other dozen views that I keep visible?  I don't want to keep it as one of my three most wanted

Nope.  three hot keys or pages the views.  You can hide some of your views you dont use and shorten the views pages..
