Side display issues
« on: March 20, 2013, 02:28:11 PM »
I updated my software with the latest version.  I was playing around with the menu moving around the side display's to a more desirable arrangement.  In doing this I found out that my #2 and #5 displays were not responding. I turned all of them off and #2 and #5 were still on.  I powered down the unit then tried again they were still on.   I  knew #5 was stuck on depth but I forgot what #2 was displaying.   I took my unit back outside plugged it back in and powered it up and they are gone now. I went into the menu and changed them to what I wanted and now they are all responding like they should.  I don't know if this is a bug with the 6.6 update or not.  Just in case this happens to anyone else disconnecting the power fixed the problem.

Did you reset to factory default your settings before
and after the update?

No, I just plugged  in my SD card, powered it up and followed the prompts. Maybe that was the issue.  I don't change much from factory except to change fresh to saltwater.

When you were changing the digital readouts was the unit in the Normal operating mode, the point of purchase simulator (demonstration) mode or the ‘forced’ simulator mode?

On some of the Views, some of the digital readouts are locked and cannot be changed (even though the menus let you).

It was in normal operating mode.   I downloaded the new update and installed it a week ago.  We had half decent weather today so I went out to change  some settings so I am ready for the trophy striper season and that's when I came across this problem. I don't keep the unit on the boat so the power connection was removed after the initial update of 6.6

I would check it again and see if this was only on some of the Views.

I would but it's working now.  I tried it tonight and to see if they were working and it took a minute for #3,4,and 5 to show up on the side but they did and they were what I chose.  When I made the adjustments the view was the side imaging full screen  in case your thinking I had the wrong view up when I was trying to change them.
