new update help

I am dumb when it comes to computers. What card do I need to buy to do the new uploads and video my daily activity. Can I use the same card for the new updates and then use it for recording my daily trips?  thanks and sorry for the lack of computer knowledge.

Yes you can use the same card for recording and for updates.  I use a 1 gb generic card for updates, this way when I make an update I normally remember to "restore defaults" before making updates as recommended by HB.


I use 2 Sandisk Extreme III 4 GB cards for recording the days events, always leaving one empty card on the boat.

Hi Netman.

I use Sandisk Extreme111 SDHC 4gb card I have no problems with this card. The only problem I had was that my computer did not recognize the extreme111 card. I went to Dick Smith purchased a Gadget Geek SD/MMC/RS-MMC card reader. I have no issues now.
