XTM 9 HDSI 180 T display options
« on: January 10, 2014, 05:15:28 PM »
can I trick this transducer  to display the Si images as shown on the quadrabeam split screen in my manual for my 798 if I select quadrabeam in the menu selections??
thought it might be good for ice fishing application.....or do I infact need a quadrabeam ducer for that display?
ps will it damage anyting if I try this setting??

Dave,
Give it a try and see what you get – it should work as all of the same connections to the transducer are used though the programming will be different.  It should not hurt either the transducer or the unit.

I was going to ask if you had hooked up the SI transducer to your Matrix unit yet but I see you have a Matrix 27.  I think it was the Matrix 37 and up that had quadrabeam.

If anyone would like to try it, you get some very interesting results!  ;)

tried the Quad view but  view on screen look too small on 798 for me to watch while ice fishing ..
so ended up going back to 2d  view with RTS window wide  max mode  outstanding while ice fishing i prefer it to then flasher view as it shows history for you
BTW  any onyone know the resolution of the flasher view for comparison sake?  vs the standard 2d in max mode??

I think that the Circular Flasher View has 256 divisions while your 798 has 640 vertical pixels.
