Title: 898 HD SI combo v7.090 update issues

So today updated my 898 for the first time in about a year.  The unit ran just fine before hand but just figured it was time for updates.  Today I installed update v7.090.  Followed directions to the T, restored factory settings, installed update, restarted, and again restored to factory settings. 

I am having issues with 2d sonar readings.  No matter what I tired, it was hard to get accurate readings.  Lots of clutter on the screen in Maxmode.  Clear mode hardly picked anything up at all.

On top of that, my color palette kept changing, hard red returns all the sudden turned to bright yellow and the entire bottom and surface clutter were all yellow.  Is there an issue with this update?  Would it hurt to just revert back to my old update which is still on a separate card.  Thanks

You should be able to go back with no problem.......Just curious, what is your old version?

I am going thru the EXACT same thing. CS cannot help because they have no idea what is going on. I tell everyone I know that owns a humbird..DO NOT UPDATE SOFTWARE IF YOUR UNIT WORKS FINE...

I think I remember reading that the default Sonar color pallette changed in 1 of the new software versions ...
