Topic: 899 with Terrova i-link

Hello,
I am looking for any information which might help me with problem or gain me new understanding. I have a 899 with Terrova i-link and would like to use the route function, whenever I try to use the route function I get an error (ERROR receiving data) and even while next to a waypoint I receive not close to waypiont. I have the latest updates for all three components and I communicate with the 899 unit as in auto-pilot it shows course. I am hoping I am missing something simple here because otherwise I love the combination. Thank you in advance. Eric

I do not have any experiences with the i-Pilot Link trolling motors.  Since you have the latest software in all three devices, you may want to call the Humminbird Customer Resource Center or Minn Kota folks about this.

I did email them about this over the weekend will wait for their response before calling, was hoping it might be something others have experienced and could help with instead of the long wait on phone. Sometimes we overlook the simple things and just need another set of eyes, thank you Eric

This is the busy part of the year for our Customer resource Center (CRC) folks, so it could be days before they answer your e-mail.  Mondays are their busiest day too, so I would avoid calling on that day.  I would call early in the morning (8:01 AM Central time zone) on Tuesday, Thursday or Friday (Wednesdays call after 8:30 AM as they have a 30 minute meeting that day).

Decided to double check software versions and found that the I-link was not updated to the correct version, though the Humminbird and control were. Updated software and now everything see each other so I should be good to go, only need to find time in the next 2 weeks to check it on water. Created way-point in driveway and it tried to go there which I couldn't get it to do before .
